The D4-class battlecruiser was a proposed design for the first Klingon vessel to appear in Enterprise. Designed by John Eaves, the D4-class was meant to represent a direct predecessor to Jefferies' D7-class.

The Delta Quadrant 1/1000 Klingon D-4/Early D-7 consists of six resin parts: main hull, neck/command bridge, upper impulse deck (x2) and warp nacelles (x2). This kit is based off of a roughly 225m ship size which gives it an overall length of 9"/ 229mm.

Full hull pattern decals are included (designed and printed by JDecals) as well as aluminum sleeves and rod for the neck braces. This kit was CAD designed by Gizmotron Models; the file was then grown and then cast.

5 Stars Outstanding quality!

This kit is one of two gems I bought after Wonderfest this year. I want to do a father daughter build and figured this kit and a 1/1000 scale Raptor would be good subjects to teach my girl to airbrush upon. Delta Quadrant did a great job of bringing the original concept into a really buildable and affordable kit. My first impression after opening the box was that it was well packed and right off the bat I could see crisp, clean casting with just a little paper thin flash where you would expect it to be. This was quite refreshing change of pace considering the last resin Sci Fi hardware kit I purchased. The kit comes in 6 parts (mine were molded in gray resin) and were nearly bubble free. There were maybe 3 bubbles in the whole kit and those were pin hole size. The kit also came with some wire to use as the stabilizing struts and a nice set of decals designed and printed by JDecals. All in all I found this kit to be exceedingly high quality and would recommend it to anyone looking to add to their ST fleet. I am really looking forward to hitting this with some enamels and under painting this kit to accentuate the surface details. If they ever come out with a clear version of the engines and the command section I’ll buy a second one.
