| Though it's not actually faithful to the original, the AMT K-7 Space Station kit is quite nice. The parts mostly fit together right, and the kit is very lighting friendly. The only problem I had was when I tried attaching the modules to the main ring. They stick out about 1:16" and require shims for alignment. Another thing lacking is a decal for the starship Enterprise included with the kit. However, the fact that this kit is back at all is enough for me to like it, and with a bit of filing and sanding on the seams it will turn out quite nice. Fathers, this is a good kit to start your child out on because it's simple, but builds up nicely in the end and looks great hanging from the ceiling in your child's bedroom. | |
