A beautiful 1/48 scale kit from Hasegawa of the VF-1J/A Valkyrie of the Vermilion Squadron made famous worldwide in the anime Macross! The molding is top quality and the engine detail is fantastic. All marking decals are provided as well as a detailed marking guide. Once assembled this Valkyrie will measure almost 12"/30 centimeters long with a wing span of just over 12"/30 centimeters.

| The Hasegawa 1/48 VF-1 is an excellent kit.The shapes are dead-on accurate, and the cockpit and pilot details are correct for the "TV-style" Valkyrie.( The Hasegawa 1/72 kits are "movie-style" or Block-6 cockpit upgrade versions) It includes 2 canopy pieces as well, the correct TV-style and the "blown", bubble-shape Block-6. The markings allow you to build Hikaru/Rick Hunter -J and the TV-style -A of Max and Kakizake. I'd guess we will see a VF-1S Skull One soon. | |
